Strawberry & Pistachio Tart with Pistachio Butter

This Strawberry and Pistachio Tart is a showstopper, combining the sweet, juicy flavour of strawberries with the luxurious taste of our ArgaNut Pistachio Butter. The smooth pistachio crème pâtissière, paired with the crunch of pistachios and crusty pastry, is simply irresistible. Ready to impress your guests? Let’s get started!


Ingredients:

  • Tart Shell (Home made or store bought )

For the crème pâtissière :

  • 375g whole milk
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 45g cornflour
  • 70g sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 40g unsalted butter
  • 40g ArgaNut Pistachio Butter with Date Syrup

For the Topping

  • 450g fresh British strawberries
  • 20g chopped pistachios
  • 5 mint leaves

Instructions:

  1. Heat the Milk: Warm 375g of whole milk and 1 tbsp of vanilla extract in a pan until it starts to simmer.
  2. Prepare the Crème: In a bowl, whisk 3 egg yolks, 70g of sugar, and 45g of cornflour until smooth.
  3. Combine: Gradually whisk a third of the milk into the egg mixture, then return everything to the pan. Stir continuously over medium heat until thickened.
  4. Add ArgaNut Pistachio Butter wit Date Syrup: Off the heat, stir in 40g of unsalted butter and 40g of ArgaNut Pistachio Butter. Let the crème cool.
  5. Assemble: Spread the cooled pistachio crème into your prepared tart base.
  6. Top with Strawberries: Arrange 450g of halved strawberries on top.
  7. Garnish: Finish with 20g of chopped pistachios and a few fresh mint leaves.
